She is a lover of Piet Mondrian’s work. As is Michael Barnaart, who in turn is a fan of Dick Bruna’s most famous creation. With a brooch of Miffy in his famous Mondrian dress, the fashion designer brings about a logical but unique encounter between two of the most influential artists in the modern Dutch design tradition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e‘Dick Bruna’s work is among my earliest childhood memories; Miffy hung above my bed as a poster,’ Barnaart says. “The apparent simplicity, strong lines and vibrant colors are important inspirations for my designs.
