This bookmark is inspired by Auguste Delaherche’s peacock vase, which was shown at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1889. Delaherche used peacock feathers for their iridescence and exoticism.
They were also a popular Art Nouveau motif, appearing on Tiffany glass and other decorative arts.
